I also joined a run club, which is what started me on this running high.... The first week we ran outdoors and we ran for 5 minutes and walked for 1... The second week we ran 7 minutes and walked for 1... Three weeks later and I am up to 10 minutes and 1's and I have incorporated that with the gym as well. It is true, it is much easier to run at a steady pace then trying to be speedy... I have decided to start running runs such as the Army run coming up because it is challenging and I am finding myself at the gym everyday I am not with my running clinic group.Victoriahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01091123094239581562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1429076603924690072.post-36478763028650939932008-08-19T15:09:00.000-05:002008-08-19T15:09:00.000-05:00I can tell you that running intervals on a treadmi...I can tell you that running intervals on a treadmill is the way to go!! I absolutely love it and I can run for much longer periods of time and distances because when you're doing your high speed interval, you're looking forward to your recovery time and when you're running your recovery time you're actually looking forward to your next interval. Plus, it boosts your metabolism in a huge way and burns a lot more fat. After doing these interval runs on the treadmill for a few weeks, I already see changes in my body and I am actually excited to go to the gym every day because I can't wait to see how much more I can push myself that day!!! I went from running about 25 minutes every run to 50-60 minutes every run and I don't even feel like I'm pushing myself that muich harder. Plus, you don't get bored!!! And adding in the inclines is awesome too and just another way to push yourself and make a more interesting run!!Jesshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11115280907553206107noreply@blogger.com
