"Out of sight, out of mind."
Often, that phrase is associated with relationships...but thanks to sweaters, coats and all of the other winter layers we add, this quote applies to weight gain as well. In fact, the tendency to gain weight during the winter months is higher than any other season.
Now, I know you all know that I'm a fitness freak. I am. I love working out. However, I would be lying to you if I told you that high intensity workouts were the main component of achieving optimal health.
You can workout like a beast and still be overweight.
How is that possible? Easy. Many people develop the misconception that if they work out, they earn the right to eat whatever they want.
Nutrition is critical. In fact, research shows that achieving a healthy weight for your body is as much as 75-80% about nutrition.
